'allo 'allo,
Righty! What can i say about this Crunch! gig? How about.. Stunning. Sheer
Brilliance. Effing minted (man). An effing dancer. An absolute peach. Did i
enjoy it? Oh yes, i should say so.
More on that later..for now, my review of the day begins late thursday night
when i thankfully arrive in London. My arse was in agony after the bus trip
(no jokes please, Colin) but was fighting fit the next day. Get to the
Spread Eagle early, and with a pint of Youngs Butter (dear me) and the Daily
Record (oh dear oh dear) in hand i sat and waited....in came Vince Foley
shortly afterwards. The points of the day were discussed...and we were soon
joined by Graham H and Rich. It seemed me and Vince were the only one with
the gaul(s) to start on the bevvy, but when Beck and sis arrived the english
boys were put to shame ;)
A touching moment was had when Graham was stopped mid sentance by something
over by the bar. Whatever it was, Myself and Rich were quick to clock it
too....
Soon after, familiar faces arrived, man of the moment, MrSwandale arrived-
many thanks to the big man for all his hard work in updating us all on the
gig and for the meet.
After nipping off on a private assignment i got back to find numbers swelled
and the bev was well and truely flowing.
Unfortunately i had to cut my presence short, had to pick up MrG and HRH
from LCA.
Arriving back at the flat and gasping for a beer (us? surely not) we soon
headed north to camden. The bigman will probably like to foget this part, as
cutting and scathing and at times sick banter was flying in all directions.
Fantastic!
At the Spread Eagle a few rounds, Lee comes in for a pre-gig swally, and a
quick word or to with MrVause. Fab!
Down to the gig, atmosphere hit then- Oh yes, we were about to see crunch!.
We bumped into a lady from ' Parkheed Man' dunno if she's on the list..
err..hello if you are...
It really was good seeing all the old crew again, and those who were newish
to the madmeet game-emma, sophie and her mates- but by this time most were
totally hammered, apart of course from those underage. Cos thats illegal,
isnt it? ;-)
The gig was great, sensational. Not a bum note in earshot. Strangely enough.
both Colin and I emerged from the gig splattered in blood which wasnae our
own. Better come out my shirt by the way, or i'll not be best chuffed!
As i said, good to see all again, if i missed anyone outside the gig then
"Cheerio!"
Our little quartet headed into deepest Camden Town to cheack out a
club...hmm...we met a nice lassie from Bo (?) who offered us a crisp, as we
were scottish. I wont go into what was said here, sufficed to say myself,
Steve and HRH were rolling with laughter.
A great night was had by all..though i had the nagging thought while
heading home pished that i had to be on the bus tomorrow. Nae borra thought
I.
But no. Was i told I'd be returning on the slow bus? No. Did it stop
anywhere and everywhere? Yes. Was I chuffed? No. 10 hours later i got off
the bus thinking "Why didnt i F*&%$!$ get the plane?"

I'm off to read Lara's book, maybe next time i'll be coming down by lear
jet! (Hello, Is that David Murry?")

What a gig, what a night!

Luv to all

Stoo
