May I politely point out that organisers may wish to consult band members in advance about various matters relating to such an event, not least the unlikely but still possible chance of a Madstock 2001 or Xmas tour occurring !  Then indeed you may have to ask yourself, what's the likelihood that this event accidentally clashes with such a live showing !  A convention may well be better off steered away from both traditional Madstock months and Christmas, sods law and all that !!!
One other thing, I'm willing to bet that this company in London simply book a hotel for the evening and use easily available and cheap caterers and then scour the entertainment agencies for a tribute band.  Which is a nice little earner for the company but bands like One Step Behind and the like deserve to be approached directly and surely hiring a disco can't be that hard.....I bet that someone on this list could provide the necessary info....what do you reckon, Scat?

Chirs m worte to me about the covention
& made a very good point about the covention being held
next august

1. holiday seasion many people would be off on holiday
& price's would be high
2.rooms would be hard to get hold off because off this

he sugested the end of may to coincide with house of fun
& compleat madness getting to number one

as said before nothing is set in concret so how do people
feel about this

also whilst on the subject someone awhile ago (i think bex )
mentioned about the madness event's night's that a company
does in london (allthough the company is called abba events)
which is a 3 course meal, tribute band & disco which is 56 (i think)
