Dear List Member's I hope you don't mind me dropping in but I have been watching the conversation regarding the ghost competition and though it has been conducted in a gentlemenly fashion I feel it incumbent on I to pour balm on troubled brows.....so I think I will send both Andy and Vince a set of lyrics of a velvet ghost song. A different one for each. And I hope Vince Carden doesn't mind me doing this. Now as this list is a Madness list and I have been discussing the ghost with members of the "League of the Ghost" I think I should give you a bit of info on the Madness camp. We have begun working on a Madness Musical and it will take some time to develop but I know I can say that this is something we have wanted to do for ages and I am sure that we are brimming full of ideas and enthusiasm for it so thats going to be one we can sink our collective teeth into. The other day someone mentioned Michael Caine and how it was done....well Dave Robinson the boss of Stiff Records approached Michael Caine and asked to record his voice to put on the track and as Mr Caine's daughter was a fan he agreed ...so a sound engineer was sent down to his club on St James's in London and he spoke into a tape machine....and thats that history was made.......as he said at the end of the tape " I think we got it there, dont you?"
