Hiya On The Beat Pete and all you Maddies,
>Was Cardiac Arrest released as a single with the extra xylophopne bit in,
>or was that just there for the video....because if it was released with the
>extras bit in, then The Business has the album version on and not the
>single version.
This was always my major grumble with Divine Madness and The Business! They
never had the single versions of several tracks. The extra xylophone as
well as the extra chorus at the end were indeed on the single. This version
was available on 3 CDs: Madness (the 1983 US album), It's Madness Too, and
of course Complete Madness. After much grumbling Virgin Records eventually
listened and did their best to dig out the single version of this and 5
other tracks, which were previously in their album form, for the remastered
Divine Madness this year. Unfortunately though, they couldn't get the
original versions of House Of Fun and Shut Up, but they corrected 6 of the
mistakes anyway.
Hope that helps. And it's NOT a minor point!;-)
Cheers for now,
Peter
