i don't think it's cork city that is uncultured,
i think it's the whole world that's gone that way.
it seems to me that as long as you've got a drum
machine & a P.C. program for music, you too can be a one hit wonder
you don't need to know anything about music
I'm living proof of that
but anyway I'm getting away from the point which is.......
sad as it maybe 20 years is a long time ago
many people who were around the first time
have other commitments & moved on
& a lot of people who have got the cash to spear
weren't born then & have been brought up on the likes of s club, etc
which makes my skin crawl ,as for bloody a1 someone get me a gun quick
they need putting out of there misery
it make me laugh when i hear people going "oh we're so proud to have written
1/3 of the album"
it just goes to show you don't need talent anymore
just a nice firm bum & a dance routine
a if your constantly fed this you'll like it so don't blame the young ones
& not even the bands as they are also exploited to the hilt aswell
at the end of the day, we who have found out our own musical taste should
be proud of who we are, we are individuals not sheep
& we should be especially proud of those of the next generation
who have even gone against what's being forced on them
stood out from the crowd & said " hey you ! i like this! not that!
& gone out & found what they like, not what there suppose to like
thanks to the likes of record companies not giving a toss
if it doesn't make money for them (& a lot of money at that)
you'll never get to hear about anything new about "real music"
but saying that i hate to go along to a gig with all those sheep
just remember real talent always shines threw
no matter what
