Hey there gang!!
Well, basically i'm just
writing a report of my night out last night...... sorry to bore you all...
but i thought i'd write and let you
know what happened...... some of you may
be interested....
I'd known about the 'Los Palmas 6' gig in Brighton on the 15th for quite
some time, and seeing as it was a day after my 16th
birthday i thought i'd be going along, to
celebrate in true maddie style (of course)... but Caz (my usual partner
to LP6 gigs) was
unable to make it, i wasn't too keen on going
along on my own, so after a while i decided not to go.... until that is
i got a text
message from the wonderful Swanny asking
me if i fancied meeting up to go to this gig along with Thommo (!)
after receiving this
text message i ran to the phone and phoned
Swanns straight away to say that i'd be there!! so after making arrangements
over
the phone i was going to meet up with Swanny
outside Brighton pier at around 8 - 8:15pm, after a while the great man
turned up,
and got on the phone to Thommo straight away
to find out where he was - Swanny decided that as he wasn't a local and
wouldn't
have a clue where Thommo meant he handed
the phone to me ... so i spoke to Thommo and found out which pub he was
in, so
i lead us there.
We found the pub with
no trouble at all, managed to locate Lee, got the drinks in and sat down,
i got a 'hello' kiss off of Lee...
very proud..! hehe.
We sat and drank, some
ate, for about an hour, there were some friends of Thommo along there too....
they were such lovely
people!! .... all of a sudden i got a phone
call off of someone (who shall remain nameless) who was (i think) shocked
to hear me
say that i was in a pub with Swanny and Lee...
i presume he was shocked as i had to repeat Thommo's name about five times!
still not sure he was believing me or not
Thommo asked me if he could speak with him... i hope that made his night....
:o)
But after the drinks etc...
we went off in search of the venue that LP6 were gonna be at; The Dome,
we walked there in the rain
(of course what else do you expect in Brighton!?)
we arrived and went straight to the bar where we all stood and chatted
whilst
also listening to the band that were on at
the time (a band called Danny Fox and the Soul Miners) and of course we
drank - yes
including little 16 year old me! haha!
As a total surprise to
the band (LP6) Thommo was going to get up on stage and play along to 'One
Step Beyond' (and had
they been able to play it Thommo would've
sung along to 'Land of Hope and Glory') Swanny and I went backstage to
accompany Lee up on stage.. and the
moment Lee got on stage the whole band were in a daze, their faces were
a picture!
they just couldn't believe that Thommo was
actually there... and playing Steve's sax!
