Hi Andrew!
Just had a thunk
about the ultimate album. I think the idea of 12 songs for the "ultimate" album
is a great wheeze. I would make one suggestion for it (which might well happen
anyway) - 4 singles, 7 'b'-sides/album tracks and 1 instrumental. Just a
quickie!
Cheers!
Simesy

Madchart No, I haven't forgotten about the Madchart, but it was back to work yesterday, and my Mum's birthday today, so I've been a bit busy! The response has been amazing! I can't believe it! I've received a total of 73 Top 10's (compared to 38 last time. Please don't send any more in though, as they won't be counted. Special thanks go out to the legend that is Rob Hazelby for publicising the poll on his excellent weekly MIS Online Newsletter. If you're not already subscribed to it, I can thoroughly recommend it, although I have to admit I don't know how to subscribe to it! I've been on it so long I've forgotten. I've got 106 Madness (and The Madness) tracks to run through in this chart, the most ever! Please be patient as it will take me a while to get through them all. Those that were around for the last chart will remember my little comments which went along with each song, and I'm sure you'll appreciate that it takes quite some time to put these together. The good news though is that my local pub is closed for refurbishment for two and a half weeks, so I have a lot of spare time on my hands!!!!!!! Before I start the chart rundown, I'll remind you of the criteria used to decide the placings. Everyone that voted submitted ten Madness songs placed from 1 to 10. If the charts were not numbered, I assumed that the first song listed was No. 1. Each song received points based on it's position - the No. 1 song received 10 points through to the No. 10 song getting 1 point. You get the idea. Where two songs received the same no. of points in total, the placings were decided first by the one which received the most No. 1 ratings. If this was the same, it was decided by the most no. of votes. If this was the same, the position in the chart is shared. When I post the chart, I will list it's position, the number of points earned, the number of votes received, the number of No. 1 spots attained and it's position in the previous two TMML Madcharts along with my comments. I will also take on board The Mountain Boy's suggestion of listing the Ultimate Madness Fantasy Album. This will consist of the four highest placed singles and the eight highest placed album tracks / b-sides. Of course, you won't that until I've finished running through the chart. I hope to start the ball rolling tomorrow night, so until then.... Goodnight. Andrew. - ______________________________________________________________ Visit the Total Madness Mailing List website for: latest news, madmeet info, list charter, games, and more ... http://members.xoom.com/totalmadmail/ Contact the TMML Moderators at: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe, send an e-mail to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] and in the message body put: unsubscribe total-madness |
