The weekend's here, and I don't get much time at the PC, but I've stolen a
few moments before I get off to bed to count us down to No. 60 (well,
almost)

69 (11) {2} <1> I Was The One  [NEW] [-]

Finding it's way to No. 69 is this b-side from Johnny The Horse. As I
mentioned before, my copy of this single has gone walkies, so I can't
provide you with the writers! Once again, I will guess at Chas! Interesting
to note that although I Was The One only scored 11 points, 10 of them came
from a No. 1 vote!

66= (12) {2} <0> Deceives The Eye  [33] [22]

What is it with multiples of 11 for this song? 22 first time out, then 33
and now joint 66! Quite a big drop of 33 places for this track from the
Work, Rest and Play EP. Written by Chrissy Boy and Bedders, this song can
claim a mention in the Guinness Book of Hit Singles and a No. 6 chart
placing in 1980, although Night Boat To Cairo was the main track.

66= (12) {2} <0> Waltz Into Mischief  [DNC] [DNC]

A big hand, hooray, for a welcome appearance of this track from Keep Moving.
I'm surprised that it didn't make our charts before. Written by Suggs and
Chas, who also share the vocals. Includes a 'sample' from Nellie The
Elephant! After three.... Nellie the Elephant packed her trunk and said
goodbye to the circus.....

66= (12) {2} <0> Turning Blue  [93=] [DNC]

The third song sharing 66th position is another track from Keep Moving. This
one was written by Suggs and Chris. Last time out, this song shared last
place in the chart, so it's seen a vast improvement since then. Obviously,
this song is about becoming a Chelsea supporter! :-)

65 (13) {2} <0> Brand New Beat  [85=] [DNC]

Rising 20 places, and keeping the Keep Moving theme going is Brand New Beat.
Written by Lee and Mike this song was the last track on the a-side of the
vinyl release of Keep Moving.

64 (13) {3} <0> Burning The Boats  [DNC] [DNC]

Another new entry, this time from Mad Not Mad. I have to admit, that my
vinyl copy of the album has been packed away for safe keeping, and my CD
version (from the US) doesn't list the writers of this track. I would guess
at Suggs and Lee, but only because it has great vocals and a brilliant sax
break!

63 (14) {2} <0> Crying Shame  [38] [DNC]

A drop of 25 places for this song which was the b-side of Embarrassment.
This track was written by Mike Barson.

62 (14) {3} <0> I'll Compete  [DNC] [39=]

The first re-entry on our chart. I'll Compete failed to make the last chart,
but three people voted it to No. 62 this time. Written by Lee and Woody,
this track was apparently earmarked for release as a single, but it never
was.

That finishes things off for this time, as three songs share 59th position.
The next update will take us through to No. 51, and then the Top 50 begins!

Before I go, I would just like to be the first to post 40th Birthday
greetings to Suggs. As they say, Life begins at 40!

Many Happy Returns, Suggsy!

Goodnight.

Andrew.
