I'm missing something here. Noddy Holder recording in the same studio as Slade. He was part of Slade. That doesn't make sense. Someone make sense of this?

Hello Chums,

Just been listening to Pete & Jeff on Virgin 1215 in the car. They were interviewing Noddy Holder and he was telling a tale about recording in the same New York studio as Slade. He heard their stuff being mixed and remarked that Noddy's voice was very similar to his ( eh?? ) and that he really liked their stuff.
Jeff then said "Apparently Lennon was a Madness fan. One Step Beyond was one of his favourite tracks"
I have never heard this before! Anyone else? I think it's amazing!!!
