Hi there, Maddies!
Recently I purchased a book called
"Hit Records: British Chart Singles 1970-1990 Top 10",
which presents the Top Ten according to "New Musical Express" and "Music Week"
for
each week between 1.1.1970 and 31.12.1990.
Now my question:
According to this book "My Girl" entered the British Top 10 on 19th January 1980
and
reached No. 1 on 2nd February 1980.
But according to the It's Madness-CD-Booklet "My Girl" hit only No.3 three weeks
after
having entered the charts.
Now, who is right ?
