I have a taped copy of FSB.....both those songs are missing gems......maybe
not the best but worth having for the collection, the same bootleg people
are appaerntly behind the recently ceased double CD over which there was
much (understanderbly) consternation from memebers of the band. I certainly
didn't pay for my copy.

Subject: [total-madness] first step beyond (Donald and My Mums Roses)
The other day I walked into the Polar Bear (record shop in Leeds -
independent) and saw a copy of First Step Beyond which must have been
a bootleg as a) there were very few details on it, like a year it had been
produced etc b) I've never heard of it before and it's never been mentioned
on the list before c) the sound quality was quite bad (I had a listen in the
shop) and there were only two tracks on it. It was priced at £12.99. The
two tracks were both about half an hour in length and it contained short
odds and sods like demo versions of various songs and also different
versions of various songs, plus live bits from radio 1 roadshows and some
songs that I'd never heard before eg MY Mums Roses and one song that
I've never even heard of - Donald. Well, I know it is wrong to pay for
bootlegs such as these, and so I didn't buy it despite being sorely
tempted. Has anyone else heard of this bootleg, or got it, and what are My
Mums Roses and Donald like as songs?
