Good evening fellow Maddies,

I've recently come back from the fourth Crunch!Meet, and I have some mixed news to report. The music, as always was top-hole, unfortunately the gig in general was one of the most depressing experiences I have ever had.

Now, I'm an easy-going chap who treats everyone with respect, but from the moment I set foot in the DC till the end of the concert some 10 hours later, I was ignored by many members of the list. I remember my first MadMeet about 18 months ago. I walked into the DC as nervous as anything, and within an hour everyone had introduced themselves and was circulating and chatting. I dread to think what a first-timer would have made of the antics last night.

Some months ago, certain of the list were said to be a sort of clique. I don't know who these were supposed to be, and it was never obviuos to me, but there most certainly is one at this moment in time with regard to Crunch! concerts. It's a shame, but I can't see it changing.

I really enjoy listening to Crunch - they're a fantastic band. But I can't cope with being ignored after travelling over 100 miles to see both those who I thought were my friends on the list and the group themselves.

It is to this end, that I'm gonna withdraw slightly from my dealings with the list for a while, lurking more and only posting occasionally. However, I will continue to host the regular European MadChats on a Monday Night between 20:00 and 23:00 GMT.

My apologies go out to those who had the decency to be friendly. We're a group of people, united in a common interest. United, we will most surely stand, but divided, and the list will fall.

            These are my words.

Stay Mad  8-)
