Every cloud has a silver lining and this story does to.

I found out about that Badness were playing a Huntingdon which is about 35
miles from were I live but I was supposed to be going with my girlfriend to
London for a few days on Sunday morning (the day after the gig) so I thought
that a late night wasn't the best thing I could do before driving down to
London Village. But on the Wednesday before the gig me and my Girlfriend
decided that our race was run and we were over. It goes without saying that
after nearly 4 years together it hit me hard but on Friday morning I
remembered about Badness playing on Saturday night so I rang my mate to see
if he wanted to go found out were the club was cleaned my DMs, emailed the
band to find out the address of the club and then waited for Saturday
night.

We got to club about 7.30 and was told it was members only I said we've only
come to see Badness he said did we know any members the answers was no so he
kindly let us in as his guests. What a nice bloke. After listening to the
crap music the DJ was playing for 2 hours they appeared on stage. The first
song was One Step beyond. I remember that the dance floor was almost empty
so I calmly made my way to the dance floor and started dancing my legs off.
When I say dancing I mean moving my legs and body in an uncontrollable
manner. My Dad would of been proud of the fact that I was dancing just like
he used too :o) After several Madness classics (Rocking in Ab, Swanlake,
Shut up, Lovestruck and maybe a couple more) the band left the stage for the
interval and so returned more shite music form the DJ who I'm sure was the
oldest bloke in the building. I had a quick word with Mike (lead singer)
about all the normal stuff like how Buster is and about their website
(http://www.badnessaka.co.uk) and then he said 'are you the person who
emailed me?' which was nice to be remembered. After congratulation Mike on
a great performance so far they went back on stage and I took my place and
the dance floor. The second half featured mainly Bad Manners songs which a
couple of Madness mixed in for good measure. While Buster Beefburger was on
stage doing his great performance he was joined on stage by a gentleman who
was fatter that him. I'd spotted this bloke walking around in a pink shirt
and he was big, no bigger than big!! they closed with Can Can and the dance
floor was packed.

After cooling down and buying one of their brilliant CDs off Buster it was
time to leave. My mate had to be at work at 6 the next morning and it was
now 12.30. I was laughing I wasn't working till Tuesday morning so had time
to recover. It took a while for my ears to recover from a top performance
they were well worth seeing and I would recommend going to see them if you
can.

I great night was had by all.

Thanks to the bloke on the door for letting us in, Badness for being so
entertaining and such nice people and Madness who with out them non of this
would be possible.
