Hi everybody! I thought it was strange at the time, but now that I see it is the anniversary of Ian Dury's departure from this earth, it seems fitting, although a day early. I shall now explain. I was watching VH1 late Monday night, and waiting for Greatest Hits of the Manic Street Preachers. Then the first song comes on. Is it the Manics? No, Uncle Ian and the Blockheads doing Reasons To Be Cheerful, then Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick, and then What A Waste. There were only three songs (I don't know how long Greatest Hits normally is) and there was no sign of the manics either - which I was not disappointed about, as although I like them, I'd much rather have Ian gracing my screen. That is all. A fittign tribute to a great man.
