Hello maddies.

I just thought I would pen a quick review of last Saturday's McMadmeet,
which was held in Edinburgh and which proved to myself that age is something
I am going to have to address sooner rather than later perhaps.

It was by comparison to other McMadmeets a dismal turnout from the Scots.
Perhaps still peeved about the Belgium match I dont know, but myself, my
burd and the famous Dr. Peter T. Gardner met up and went to watch the
Liverpool/ManU game at my mates house with half a dozen beers.

>From here we talked the flat owners (Dave and Isla) into joining us to go
see The Rab Howitt Band. This band play free every Saturday in a club in
Edinburgh (The Venue) and double voddies, gins and whicky are only 2 quid!
We were only in the place for 10 minutes when Isla fainted and was reduced
to drinking water. This was a sign of things to come. RobW showed up 30 mins
into the gig and caught up on the bevy soone enough, but by the time I left
the club two hours later I had unknowingly consumed around 9 double
whiskies. (That is 18 single measures for the un-educated). On leaving said
club, the bright light and fresh air that hit me outside made me turn green.
And for the rest of the night I spent most of my time talking to God on the
big white telephone. Game over for me. I was in bed by 9pm seriously ill.
Indeed, I never even made it to work on Monday.

Wee "Dinky-doo" Stoo never showed, neither did Iain "Armani" Mason due to
still being in the office at midnight (see News of the World front page for
explanation). From what I know RobW and The Doc made it up the road by about
midnight and spent their time scaling 6 foot walls over wheelie bins. You
will need to ask them.

Needless to say for me the day turned into a sad state of affairs. My new
Docs are splattered with hughie and my girl aint seen or heard nothing like
it in her life. Thank heavens there was no camera and no evidence. Well
except for several pavement pizza's in and around Leith Links.

Next Scottich meet-up? Cant come quick enough but I got a mail this morning
informing me of a gig in Glasgow on 12th May at King Tut's Wah Wah Hut. The
Ampetameanies are playing (they supported Bad Manners in January) and are an
excellent Ska Band. If anyone wants to meet up with us drop me a line.

Regards,

Mr.G
