Hiya Nutters,
McMadmeet 3 - AKA "The big blur "!!!
Well I'm going to attempt to fill in some of the
gaps ........(i'm never drinkin' doubles again btw !!!!).
......After work I jumped on the first train into
Edinburgh & then headed to The Venue to find the regular band in full
flow.....shit hot they were too ... as I waded through the crowd tryin' to
adjust to the dark, I heard Mr G's dulcet tones......I found him, his good lady
(Gail), his friends Dave & Isla & our Doc.Peter Gardner all
ready well oiled.....well I was playing catch up wasn't I ?......& catch up
I certainly did, it was doubles galore ! After the band finished we headed
for a pub called Frankenstiens, but while waiting for the taxi outside The
Venue Mr G decided to pay his two mates a visit (Hughie &
Ralph !!!) who gave him a hand to decorate the pavement ;o)).
At some point ( can't remember exactly) we
got a call from Wee Stoo to say he might make it.....or did we phone you first
Wee Man ???....(yes we were that bad !!!).....but sadly it wasn't to
be............
.Once in Frankensteins we had a couple of round of
drinks (except for Mr G who spent most of the time with his head down the pan
& the rest of it with his head on the table.......he was well & truly
gone & was only trying to stay awake for Me n Peter (Peter was supposed to
be kipping at his & Gails house)............I told him not to worry about us
& managed to talk him into going home & that was it...Goodbye Mr
G, Gail, Dave & Isla (Mr G had to leave his mobile with me as we were
expecting calls from Stoo & Iain Mason).......
