Sadly I missed this event- though I can add a wee bit to fill in the gaps.
I phoned Mr.G at about 6.30 or so, first time no answer. On the second
attempt, He answered. At first I thought I'd got a wrong number, the weak
and feable voice bearing no similarity to the big camp and indcredably
strange Edinburgh / Glasgow mix of the bigmans accent. "weeee maan" he
whined. " I cannae talk the noo" There was commotion, Then Rob took the
phone to inform me that Mr.G was being sick.
Later, I also got a text message which read (and I quote) " I SPEWED UP THE
WALL"
That, my friends, is classic McMadmeet stuff. I think we'd all love to see
CCTV footage of Rob and Peter clambering over a 6 foot fence. One thing
though? Where was the police during this meet? Could this be the first
McMadmeet without a sizeable police presence? With a possible meet planned
for The Amphetameanies gig at King Tuts, I hear the Strathclyde Police are
cancelling all leave for that weekend, and that as we speak, extra police
horses are being drafted in from across the nation, and a special 12 page
pull-out is being readied by the news of the world to cover the impending
hellraising actions.
There aint no madmeet like a scottish madmeet!!
