The dotmusic site has just had a re-vamp and while they were at they have updated the
Madenss biography.
This is the end:
"Today, Madness are happy to continue their normal separate lives, occasionally
teaming up together - no treadmill, just fun. A recent example being their version of
'My Old Man' on the 'Brand New Boots And Panties' tribute album for their old pal Ian
Dury. Suggs continues his TV work, hosting Night Fever on Channel 5 and regularly
appearing on A Question Of Pop on BBC1. Chas has formed another band, The Velvet
Ghost, who have just finished recording their debut album and are currently playing
live.
Lee and Chris reformed The Nutty Boys, renaming themselves Crunch, and are also out
and about gigging. Mark is a successful graphic designer while Woody is about to
appear with Terry Edwards' band The Scapegoats. Mike still lives in Holland with his
wife and children and is currently working on some top-secret music projects. But,
watch out for more Madness in 2001!"
So does anyone know where and when The Scapegoats + Woody are playing? Or when were
gonna see the Velvet Ghost album now its finished? Or when were gonna find out about
Mikes "top-secret" projects?
And how significant is that last sentence?! Im not gonna hold my breath but Im
definately keeping my fingers crossed!
