Well a special thanks to Cheryl and Chris for throwing this shindig together - I'm sure I wouln't have had as much fun and met as many interesting people if I'd stayed in London for Mardi Gras! It was great to finally meet lots of people in the flesh and in no particular order my thanks and hellos to: the family Gardner, you wee drunken beasties (but no nice words for the tartan army on the Blackpool North to Preston train who peed in the driver's cab - we were not amused!). The family Balsdon and the rest of their Newcastle crew - a very friendly bunch which makes up for the fact that I won't be able to watch "Star Wars", "Friday the 13th" or "Watership Down" again without breaking into a cold sweat! Gary for doing Bubble so well - especially the double-take that he got by the Pepsi Max ride on the pleasure beach. Jerney for being the human wind machine. The Dudley posse for, well, being from Dudley and proud of it. Steve for being Steve (got some great fashion tips on Saturday night mate - nice one!) and Lee for being a right perv and consistently lowering the tone - well we did need reminding that we were in Blackpool. The Vinces for doing an auctioneering comedy routine that was funnier than most stand-up I've seen recently. The "other" Geordies for not getting the "Moons 'Oot!" more than once and for being terribly, terribly proper and behaving like absolute gentlemen at all times.... :) and to two people who I don't think are on the list (and please do pass this mail on to them Cheryl) I have only one thing to say (but in a Homer Simpson voice) "mmmm, VK fountains, my favourite!". And to anyone and everyone else that I haven't mentioned - see you at the Crunch gig in August if not before!
