Friday 29th June Well , I was greeted with a message on my mobile Friday am. Cheryl : "Where are you ? Stu's got the hotel to open up the bar at 8am , is drinking doubles and they are all drunk & dancing already." The Thursday night overnight train already having delivered a dozen nut cases to Blackpool very early Friday morning. The Mountain Boy Dudley Tatters were there for lunch-time and people turned up one after the other after the other during the day. The bar was getting a bit of business to say the least. It was all nice and social , hellos & greetings , before the weekenders headed up to Yates's Wine Bar for the nights entertainment. Badness very kindly said they would come on at 10pm so we could have a cup of tea or a shandy or two. Just before they came on stage , Graham had a quick cocktail served in an exact replica of his penis. Dont ask. They came on , we had a bit of a nutty dance , the bouncers were a bit intimidated & made sure things didnt go too mad ! One told me he had never seen anything like it before & was pleased that although drunk and Wild , we were well behaved. Thet played the classic Madness stuff PLUS Buster Beefburger came on and did the Bad Manners songs. Superb. They went down a treat. Sweating like pigs we trotted back to the hotel around midnight. On comes the CD player , more beer , more madness , a bit more beer , even more madness , a bit of nutty dancing. At 3.30am and feeling rather dodgy , I retired for the evening.
