Hello everyone Madness are mentioned in this months Q magazine as part of the "Lost in Music" thing they do. This month, it'sthe fab David Gray on the records that shaped his life: One Step Beyond "I was a nutty Boy" "I was about 13 and saw them looning about on Top of the Pops and it was the first pop thing I became part of. I scrimped on money to buy the records and clothes. I was a Nutty Boy and part of a gang and we'd write graffitti in the bogs, write Madness and their big "M" logo everywhere. Did it mark us out locally? I got my head kicked in a couple of times for doing their daft dancing. People would go (Welsh Accent), Who the F*** are you boys? Kick their F***in' 'eads in. Once someone nicked my hat, poured a pint into it, then put it back on my head". This little gem is accompanied by a Madness logo and a black and white photo of the nutty train from about 1980.
