Just thought I'd subject you to some horror...I was being a Police Officer
this weekend at a Park in Huddersfield. There was a gala going on, and there
was a bit of a fairground. One of the rides was this huge wheel that did all
sorts (backwards, upside down, that kind of thing) and me and my collegue
stood next to it for a bit as it was the main attraction and there was loads
of kids staggering about, cidered up to the eyeballs.
ANYWAY...this wheel thing had a very loud stereo system and was churning out
so fair old tunes, House of Fun being one of them.
Then the "remixes" started.
I wasn't really paying much attention to them, but my ears were alerted when
I was subjected to the most horrific sound known to mankind. "One Step
Beyond" mixed with "Deeper Shade of Blue" by Steps.........
It was awful.
I had to be held back from arresting the man in charge of the wheel of
henious crimes against music.
Perhaps "Tragedy" would have been more appropriate........
Yours in recovery
Sally
