Hi Aussie Madness fans.

Despite the fact I am thoroughly depressed after the Mighty Dragons were knocked out of the NRL semis tonight, I happened to be channel surfing on cable and came across the Music Country channel. There was a show presented by Glenn A Baker (Australian rock music genius) called Baker's Dozen.

The theme of the show was "The New Wave". "Generals and Majors" by XTC was being shown. Baker then proceeded to talk about Brit bands which were huge at home, but didn't quite get the respect they deserved in OZ. The Jam was mentioned as one, then to my amazement he started talking about Madness, and he introduced "Baggy Trousers" as being a song that wasn't quite as popular here.

Personally I think they could have chosen something a little more obscure. The show will be repeated on Optus on 21st and 29th Sept @ 9pm, and 30th Sept @ 10am. I only caught the tail end, but it could be worth catching the whole show.

bye for now
