Evening All, For those of you who are into reggae and ska other than our boys, Simesy and myself have a treat for you. I've loyally been typing up lyrics and with help from Simesy's more superior web skills, we are proud to announce the forthcoming Judge Dread lyrics section of the Country Bumpkin website at

I have searched, but have found at the most only approx a dozen or fewer. So, along with lyrics from The Argonauts, Crunch!, Ian Dury, The Fink Brothers, Madness, The Madness and Suggs, the true 'Rude Boy' (literally) of reggae will be arriving soon. WARNING - Judge Dread's lyrics are notorious for their 'risqu�' and downright rude content. Not for the easily offended - you've been warned! After all, what do you expect from a guy who has songs with lyrics such as: "So I told her a bedtime story About the first time I got laid: As I ran down the stairs, she cried after me: "You bleeder, you ain't paid!" (Bedtime Stories) Judge Dread, (Real name Alex Hughes) was origionally a bouncer for the Rolling Stones, and also a wrestler at times. God knows how he ended up doing a cover of Prnce Buster's 'Big 5', but with his own filthy lyrics. He died of a heart attack onstage while performing with Arthur Kay and The Originals in 1998. Ironically, the audience originally thought it was part of the act at first, then ambulance broke down on the way to hospital. Sadly, he was pronounced dead in hospital later. We hope to have the first dozen or so songs up and ready for the New Year, may the legend that was Judge Dread live on. Hope this might enlighten more people to the fun Judge Dread created.
