Hi everybody!!! 2002 is starting to take off and the band is getting busy again. We just spent some time up at Noise New York recording studios laying down some new tracks. We now have 7 songs for a new record completed. On the gig front we have some local stops in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Then there is Vic Ruggiero's "Watch This" party featuring the Slackers performing with exotic and cabaret artists on Friday night at Midnight, February 1st. Sure to be strange. Then...we have a northeast run going from Boston into Canada and back to Syracuse. It will be our first time back in 8 months so we are looking forward to it!!!! We are going to some places we have never been as well as some old favorites! Please tell your friends. As per our usual policy, we try to change the set every night, so that if you don't hear something one night, we might be playing it tomorrow!!! Then it looks like we are going to be doing some more extensive touring in march and april throughout the US, so keep your eyes open!!! On the side project front, the Rocksteady 7 is playing at BBKings with the Cannibus Cup band as part of a Bob Marley B-Day celebration, and the David Hillyard/Simon Chardiet Quintet is finishing out its run at the Knitting Factory's tap bar.
