Today's Metro Newspaper features an article on unclaimed music royalties. Among stars who have yet to collect their royalties for tracks which they have performed on is apparently Michael Caine, who still hasn't picked up his earnings after his voice was used in Madness' 1984 hit 'Michael Caine'!
Phonographic Performance Ltd has now set up a website at www.ppluk.com to assist artists to register their details and claim their cash. Other Madness related musicians on the website include Jason Bruer who has yet to claim for his sax playing on Johnny the Horse, and Terry Edwards and Seamus Beaghan are both owed royalties from other non-Madness tracks. Apparently even those who have so much as played a triangle in the background on a hit track could be in line for a share of the 10million of royalties that still lies uncollected. Makes you wonder whether 70,000 of us should put a claim in for our combined vocal skills on The Harder They come!! Chris __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
