Afternoon Chris,

All is not what it seems there though as Mean Fiddler have been found out
playing a dodgy hand....a news report this morning states.......

"This year's Glastonbury festival is looking in doubt again, after Michael
Eavis quite rightly pulled out of that worrying Mean Fiddler deal.

In return for the services of one Melvin Benn, Mean Fiddler decided they
wanted a 20% stake in the festival, and told the world they'd secured the
deal in a press release when in fact they hadn't, all rather dodgy of them,
especially as it sent their share prices soaring. Obviously, Eavis wasn't
best pleased with this, especially as Mean Fiddler reckoned they were going
to end up with a 40% stake in his festival, and pulled out. The bad news,
however, is that Mean Fiddler seemingly had the poor man over a barrel, as
Benn's involvement was "integral" to Glasto's License Application that was
approved by Mendip Council's Regulatory Board last month.

Eavis now looks likely to have to re-apply, and Avon & Somerset Police have
already expressed "serious concerns regarding the reported withdrawal of
Mean Fiddler".

"We are awaiting urgent confirmation from Glastonbury Festivals Limited as
to the exact situation and they have indicated that they will try to bring
us up to date with the situation this afternoon," said Mendip Council in a
statement. "If the Council is not satisfied with the alternative
arrangements, Glastonbury Festival proposes for site management this may
have to be referred to a reconvened meeting of the Regulatory Board.

"We would strongly advise Glastonbury Festival not to continue with their
plans to commence selling tickets until these concerns are resolved."

Tickets don't look like going on sale on Friday then. Glastonbury are
expected to issue a statement tomorrow."
