Madness Join Finchley Theatre Fuss

Paws off our venues, Duncan-Smith gimps
Lots of people are to stomp through North Finchley in London on
Saturday to protest at the local council's scrapping of plans to
build a theatre, with some of yer actual Madness boys turning up to
play a free gig at the end.
Apparently the (Tory - booo) council is planning to turn the
partially-built place, which the previous council OK'd as a theatre
called the Arts Depo, into a library and flats. This would mean
closing down all smaller libraries in the borough, and of course no
venue. All being done very sneakily and against wishes of
residents. Bah!
For anyone who would like to join the march (a chance to make a big
fart-noise in the general direction of the Conservative Party,
really), it starts at 12 noon at the Arts Depot site, Tally Ho
Corner, North Finchley. A nice man called Justin has more info on
