OK so it's a little late but I have only just landed back on planet earth after the weekend.

Firstly, may I say what an absoulte pleasure it was spending the day with like minded people. Greetings to those people I didn't get to say goodbye to after the event finally came to a close (if you missed me, I was the one face down in the gutter wetting myself shouting "I'VE JUST MET MY HEROS!". Serioulsy, it was great putting names to faces, people places, times spaces, pork chops mint sauce, curry, mushy peas....  hopefully I will see all of you again at the Docklands for the Xmas gig. My special thanks must go to Bex for being an absolute diamond and getting me out of a fix, your a star babe!

So anyway, I got to the DC at around 1.30ish for a little light refreshment and spotted to peps sat there one of which wearing the '99 t-shirt. This is where my memory with names becomes apparent (sorry!) A really nice fellow from up north and wife sat enjoying a quiet drink awaiting the masses. I joined them and struck up conversation. Next up (in) was Chris Carter P and a few others whose names again completely fail me but very pleasent they were too.

Then as with most madmeets lots more people, more (non-alcholic) beer (how did I get sooo drunk then?? - most have just been in the thrill of the moment!) I sadly had to pop back to the hotel to get sprussed up for the show and rejoined Matt Hall, Scatty, Bex et all in the pub across from the Cambridge. (Sadly, 5mins previous to me turning up Carl and Barzo were enjoying a drink with a few members. Obviously someone told them I was coming cos by the time I got there they had disappeared.) Then it was into the Theatre and into the VIP Room.

This is where fact turns into complete fiction........

There I am sat in bar, in London, about to see Our House and Suggs causally walks in and starts chatting to people. OK, let me repeat that for anyone hard of hearin-sight..... There I am sat in bar, in London, about to see Our House and Suggs causally walks in and starts chatting to people. I bumble my way across and obtain an autograph. Suggs in real life is a lot shorter than what I imagined.

So then for the show (after spotting Messers Foreman and Woodgate nipping into the Theatre itself. I'm not going to give too much away. It would not be fair on the people not to have seen it. Less to say than it is a beautifully crafted, well directed and produced show. The songs have been wonderfully woven into a story of youth and love.  and fit perfectly in this arena. As for the actors singing ability. It was a hell of a lot better than what I could muster so I'm not gonna complain (for more on this argument have a butchers at the whatsonstage forum for Our House).

Then after show with Carl, Suggs, guest apperance by Mr Barzo and two other chaps (fine young fellows) but off whom I'm not quite sure. I think they were thr producers and directors. Who knows. I was still busy gawping at the band. The band were very hospitable and were laughing and joking with the audience (also taking the piss out of various members!). I managed to get all thier signatures and had a nice chat with all three.

In all in a damn fine show, enjoyable company and a nice bonus meeting the lads.

Roll on Christmas
