Hiya folks,

Well, well, well......what can I say, I will now die a happy man......i've
waited 22 years to finally meet my heroes.....it was emotional.
I had to contain myself so as not to appear too starstruck !!!
The day started with the madmeet in the D.C......it was great to see a few
familiar faces again....Paul Hurley (nice t-shirt mate), Chris Mountain,
sporting a new haircut, Cheryl, Bex, Jerney, Chris CP, Emma, Steve C, Fiona,
Graham, Iain Mason & also to meet some new ones....Colin & Kerry from
Mussleburgh, Yannick & Mrs Pollet, Thommo, (sorry if i've forgotten
anyone).
after a few drinks, stories & photos, it was off to the Cambridge
theatre....
Once in there, I went to buy some merchandise & was delighted to find out
that I was the first customer ever !!!!
Down in Stalls bar, I couldn't believe it when Suggs came into the bar to
mingle with us, I plucked up the courage to approach him, I shook his hand &
got a photo taken with him....he took time to ask my name & where I was from
etc.....a gentleman. Met Woody at the interval....he asked me what I thought
of the musical ....I said I was impressed.....he said "well as long as you
lot like it, i'm happy", he also said that he had seen rehearsals earlier
that day & was a bit unsure about it....I think he was relieved to see that
it was going well & that it was so well received.
I have to say that the musical is excellent & will be even better when they
complete the grand finale that is being worked on......I think it has done
justice to the songs & the new songs are brilliant. Some bits of it actually
brought a tear to my eye.
I think Iain Mason has covered just about everything with his excellent
review......If you had any doubts about it, forget em....go and see it.....I
will be going again definitely.
At the Q&A, I asked the first question, I asked if they were apprehensive
about coming back to Scotland after the riot the last time they were
here......Suggs & Chas then proceded to take the piss by answering in a
Scottish accent....all in good fun.....in among all the hilarity, It
perspired that they are well up for it.....so roll on Dec.15th.
At the end of the Q&A I met Chas & Barso & got photos etc.....but the
highlight for me was when Iain Mason asked Mr Smash what songs they will be
playing on the tour.....Mr Smash said he fancied doing some of the more
obscure songs like Mistakes....then Him & I proceded to sing it
together....I can't believe it, I've done a duet with Chas Smash !!! Mr
Smash also commented on how true the lyrics to that song are.....I totally
agree.....meaningful then & even more so now that I'm older & wiser as they
say....Mr Smash, he's the man !!!

Anyway, what a night......what a show.....i'll never forget it !!!

bye for now........RobW.

....but don't they understand.....i'm from a broken home !!!
