Friends, it's a good read.
As I was stacking books in a bookcase I scored, I started to thumb
through Naomi Klein's "The Shock Doctrine" Although I have read the
book this information in 2nd last chapter I seem to have forgotten.
The book is jam packed with amazing eye popping information. Anyways
this information really shines some light on what the heck is going
on today. I am going to jump into the middle of second last chapter
and plaguerize, paraphrase and take parts to relay the chapter.
A powerful factor coontributing to Israel abondoning any serious
negotiations at peace talks is one related to to the rise of Israel's
tech economy. When Israel 's niche in the global economy turned out
to be information technologies, sucess did not require freindly
relations with Arab neighbours or ending ocupation of terrotories.
Tech economy turned out to be phase one of Israel economic
transformation.
Phase two came after dot.com crash. The country went into free fall
analyst predicting more then 300 high tech Israeli firms would go
bankrupt. As it happened Israel defense and military forces had been
experimenting with network systems and surveillence devicesand a slew
of new start ups were launched specializing in "Search and Nail" data
mining. surviellence, to terrorist profiling. When lo and behold came
september 11 markets exploded in security economy. Dot com bubble
would be replaced with homeland security boom. The Likud Party's
hawkishness and ebracing of Chicargo School economicsembodied
Sharon's finance minister, Benjamin Netenyahu and new private central
bank cheif Stanley Fisher, cheif architect of IMF shock theopy
adventures into Russia and Asia were brought together to pull off
miraclerecovery. After the crash Israel was performing better then
any western economy. Most of this growth was due to Irael positioning
itself as a sort of shopping mallfor homeland security technologies.
Timing could not have been bettergovernments around the world were
suddenlydesparate for terrorist hunting toolsas well as intellegence
and knowledge of Arab world.
Under Likid Party Israel billed itselfas the showroom for cutting
edge security state, drawing on it's decades of experience and
expertise fighting Arab and Muslim threats. Israel's pitch to Europe
and North America was: the war on terror you are embarking on is one
we have been fighting since our birth. Let our high tech firms and
private spy companies show you how it is done. According to Forbes
magazine overnight Israel became go-to country for anti-terror
technology. Jumping in and playing host at security confrences for
lawmakers, police cheifs, sheriifs and CEO's around the world playing
into security fears. During a Febuary 2006 such gathering
dubbed "Israel's Struggle Against Terrorism" delegates from FBI,
Microsoft and Singapore's Mass Transit Systems [amoung others]
examined Isreal and admired the fortress-style security systems that
could be applied at home. May 2007 Israel hosted the directors of
several large U.S. airports to attend workshops on aggressive
passenger profileling and screening used at Gurion International near
Tel Aviv. Steven Grossman the head ofavation at International Airport
in Oakland california said he was there because the Israeli's are
legendary for security. These are not policy confrences, but
lucrative trade shows designed to demonstrate the powress of Israel
security firms. Exports in counter-terror related products is
booming. Israel is now the world 4th largest arms dealer, larger then
the U.K.Israel has more stocks listed on Nasdaq exchange-most
security related then China and India combined security makes up more
then 60% of all it's exports. Len Rosen prominentIsrael investment
banker told Fortune magizine It's security that matters much more
then peace. No doubt the war on terror saved Israel's economy and
rescued it's stock market.

Shell,Texaco, Levi's, Sony, Citigroup,and Pizza Hut.
When Boeing build planned virtual boarders with Mexicoe and Canada
complete with drones, towers sensors, it will partner with Elbit firm
most involved in building Israel's wall.
* Buckingham Palace turned to Israeli Magal for Security Barrier.

pushing for wider escalationsaying " it may be politaclly incorrect
to say all Muslims are terrorist but all terrorist are Muslim. This
is the world war.
