BTW Adam, are you Jewish? Were either of the other screeners for ORIGINAL INTENT Jewish, because if they were, they may have rejected it because the Anti Defamation League (ADL) has some nasty things to say about Pat Buchanan (see below) and I have spoken to few Jews that dissent from the company-line, as set forth by ADL chief, Abe Foxman. If 2 of the 3 screeners, or all of them, gave ORIGINAL INTENT a thumbs up and it was sent higher and rejected -- also something you won't tell me -- then it could very well have been rejected by a Pat Buchanan-hater at that level. Either way, in the absence of specific screener data, I am going to have to consider that anti-Buchanan bigotry MAY have played a part in Sundance's decision to reject ORIGINAL INTENT ( http://www.OriginalINtent.us ) on the "grounds" that they didn't want to give PLATFORM to someone they, and/or colleagues at the MPAA studios or networks, view as anti-Semitic. Used the American Cause to stage a panel of speakers at the National Press Club which featured racist and anti-immigrant figures. Predicted, on national television, that President Obama will appoint “a minority, a woman and/or a Hispanic” rather than someone who has “real stature [and] impresses people,” to fill the impending vacant Supreme Court seat. Buchanan's ideological leanings are not new—ADL has previously reported on his hateful views and statements: in 2004, about his book entitled Where the Right Went Wrong; in 1993, with a report exposing his “unrelenting defense” of accused Nazi war criminals and in 1991, with a report entitled, “Anger on the Right: Pat Buchanan's Venomous Crusade.” Buchanan, however, has been given license by some in the mainstream media to escalate his hateful campaign.
