Don't let Joe Lieberman win! Americans need you to stand strong and block
any 'compromise' without a strong public option. If necessary, demand that
Sen. Harry Reid and President Obama support budget reconciliation and pass a
bill with just 51 votes - at which point, Joe Lieberman will be irrelevant
and the public option can be made even stronger.

Dear Alex,
The situation in the Senate is grim. Harry Reid has capitulated to Joe
Lieberman and announced a deal to remove anything resembling a public option
from the health care bill.
Four Senators - Senators Russ Feingold (D-WI), Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Roland
Burris (D-IL), and Sherrod Brown (D-OH) - have previously said they'd only
support a bill with a strong public option.
We are joining with the Progressive Change Campaign Committee in calling on
these four progressive Senators to stand up for what they believe in, not
stand aside and stay silent as Joe Lieberman and Harry Reid kill the public
option.
The PCCC has already collected 65,000 signatures to their petition. Click

SHERROD BROWN: "There's no negotiations as far as I'm concerned. We've

Remember, a strong public option was the compromise for those of us who
supported Medicare for all. The plan Harry Reid has now endorsed in order to
get Joe Lieberman's vote is not a "compromise," it's a complete
capitulation.
Until recently, we had a liberal lion in the Senate who would speak out for
meaningful health care reform. We need someone to step up to the plate and
take his place.
Tell the four progressive Senators who have come out for a public option to
fight back and use every tool at their disposal to keep the public option
alive.
