After all, as our central government issues more and more legislation to directly control our lives, they must have enforcement methods to force us to submit and obey whatever they dictate. Example: (1)This health care legislation will definitely have the provision that will demand you to buy it. If you don't you WILL be punished. (2) A lot of people are seriously irritated about the trillions of dollars in debt that has been placed on their backs by the federal government in the massive bailout of Wall Street, the banks, and the takeover of the auto industry, etc. (3) The Townhall Meetings of protest and the Tea Parties have shown a definite undercurrent of discontent in America. (4) The Cap and Trade legislation will directly cause much job losses and increases in energy costs in America which will put additional strain and burden on the People. (5) Job losses continue to mount as the American Worker reaps the job devastation that has been sown by the FREE Trade policies in-acted by their globalist politicians. And on, and on, and on. Oh, yes! The elites that pull the strings of the politicians definitely are concerned, and they show this concern in essentially "federalizing and militarizing" a civilian policing unit. This action is against every principle espoused by our Founders and expressed in our Constitution. NO WHERE in the Constitution is the Federal Government given a police power over the American People. But, then again, this government has not existed as a "constitutional" government in many years. The Constitution has been no more than toilet paper for Washington D.C. Immediately below my name is the story as well as where you can verify it. According to the report, an SPF would be a military police cloaked as civilian law enforcement, using quasi-military officers/personnel who employ military tactics and exist/function with a currently existing civilian federal law enforcement agency in order to circumvent the Posse Comitatus Act’s prohibitions against using military personnel to engage in civilian law enforcement with what are otherwise full-fledged military personnel engaging in civilian domestic law enforcement on behalf of the federal government; functioning as a military unit would, without the military label. A force of up to 6,000 troops, the SPF would appear civilian, but act military, subject to the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) and sharing same rank and command structures as regular military. It would be deployed anywhere in the world that advanced militarized policing would be needed and operate as "high-end" federal law enforcement at home, in the United States when not deployed, in order to sharpen policing skills, and maintain training and readiness. To that end, the militarized officers would work for their home agency (e.g. Marshall’s service, FBI, etc.) and "assist" local, civilian law enforcement using militarized tactics under a civilian facade to get around the prohibitions in the Posse Comitatus Act. Still under review, the US Marshall’s Service seems to be the favorite home agency, picked by the Rand Center.
