Title:
unity unable to add new applications without restart
Status in Unity:
Fix Released
Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
Binary package hint: unity
A newly installed application is unable to be added to the launcher
without logging out and logging back in. Steps I have taken to
duplicate:
apt-get install new-application
launch new-application
Icon for new-application shows up in launcher, but with no option to 'Keep in
Launcher'.
Log out, log back in, restart new-application, and now 'Keep in Launcher'
option is available.
Sit back and enjoy a milkbone
