Typing in Unity Dash is slow

Bug description:
Steps:
1. Open dash
2. Type in dash anything
Manifestation: the letters appear on the screen 1 second apart so if i
type in "bug", "b" shows on the screen, after 1 second "u", after 1
second "g" during which the CPU usage is 100%.
