Experimenting with choosing and finally choosing DCP-8065DN did work and the printer functions properly just blind luck. What I expected was to be offered the correct driver by name. This may be an error in naming or transcription; not sure. Very frustrating, to be sure and took a fair amount of work to find the right driver.
