Igor Wojnicki, it will help immensely if you filed a new report with Ubuntu via a terminal: ubuntu-bug xorg

I have recently seen an increase in unexpected X crashes while using my machine, sending me back to the login screen and losing the state of my open applications. I use a ThinkPad T540p with Intel graphics and Ubuntu 15.10 (upgraded from 15.04). I use Xrandr to configure and position my external and internal displays, including the use of the --panning/--scale/--dpi options to help my external display behave more like my internal HiDPI display (in case that's relevant to this problem). I heavily use PhpStorm, a JetBrains IDE from their IDEA family built in Java. The last two times this crash has happened to me (Friday and today), I was interacting with the IDE at the time. I saved a copy of Xorg.0.log.old both times and will attempt to attach both to this report (their backtraces differ a bit). During the first crash I believe I was simply interacting with the UI in some way; During the second crash, I had just clicked the window decoration's "X" button to close PhpStorm. Please let me know if there's something I can do to help diagnose the crash further. In the meantime, I've installed the -dbg packages for xorg-core and xorg-video-intel in the hopes that future backtraces might be more useful. If I see this crash again, I'll post the log here in the comments.
