Unless someone has reproducible steps in which this is actually a bug i
don't think it is.

It's just people that start unity8-dash in an X destkop without that
user having access to X (i.e. a sudo to a different user without
modifying xhost) or people trying to start unity8-dash from the phone
doing sudo gdb unity8-dash for example
