Hey, if you reinstalled the phone it actually suggests it's a hardware issue... I can't view the video since it's private, but I've not heard anyone else mention that.
There is one bug that I remember from before, but we've not seen it in a long time - bug #1408263 - that could in theory explain your issues. If you have adb access to the device, you can use (on your pc): $ phablet-config edges-intro --disable If that doesn't work for some reason, the same can be achieved by editing this file on the phone: /var/lib/AccountsService/users/phablet Edit the line that says "demo-edges=true" to say "demo-edges=false" and restart the phone. Ultimately flashing Android could get you a confirmation if the hardware is still ok. You can also edit the width of the edge detection area (see ubuntu-phone ML thread [1] for pointers). The launcher can't be shown, the gestures from the left side won't work any longer. I completely reinstalled the phone and now it's the situation, that it stays on the info-screen how to use the phone: "Please swipe from the left": so i can't unblock the phone. Also the keyboard works incorrectly. Typing the password for Wifi network during setup, instead the letter a and the shift are typed letter s or y (german keyboard).
