 * Be in "desktop mode"
 * Use the mouse to push over the left of screen to show the launcher (must be 
at the Y coordinate where the "unity" icon will be)
 * Move the mouse away from the launcher (without leaving the Y coordinate of 
the "unity" icon)
 * See how the launcher does not autohide
