Thanks for confirming that Michael. I can't think of anything obvious
that would have changed that could possibly cause this. Is there some
way I can get ahold of one of these videos for testing purposes after
which I would delete them? That's really the best way to know what's
going on here. I want to see if it might be something specific to your
phone/installation or if it's a general issue.

Bug description:
  After installing the OTA-9 update to my BQ Aquaris 4.5, mp4 video
  files no longer display in media player. I get a white screen and no
  video (but the sound plays ok). The videos used to play fine up until
  OTA-9 was installed.
