It seems to be working now properly after an update. It might have been
a transient error.

  Poor sound quality on ThinkPad E460

Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  The sound quality is quite bad on my ThinkPad E460. Output of alsa-
  info.sh attached. I am using a daily build of Ubuntu 16.04 as older
  versions don't support some of my hardware.
