Here's the media-hub.log file when there's no sound alert for new SMS. Sound alert for new Telegram message is working fine. Also I wanted to mention another fact in case it turns out helpful. Even when the sound alert is working for SMSs, new Telegram message alert is significantly louder than new SMS alert although both play the same tone (chosen in System Settings > Sound > Message received).
