I can confirm this for vegetahd with camera app 3.0.0.644 . In the
probably mostly used landscape orientation the BottomEdge control cannot
be swiped because the manual touch focus gets active before.

Playing with the orientation I also found out for the first time that I
can swipe to the photo roll (with the very same settings control) but
only when I hold the phone upside-down in portrait mode.

That's completely non-obvious, is there already a bug report for this?
