i couldn't install any packages and application

Bug description:
software center started hanging and i couldn't install any application ,then
even software updater couldn't update anything,
i even tried to update using terminal but i got the following output
E: Could not get lock /var/lib/apt/lists/lock - open (11: Resource
temporarily unavailable)
