Title:
bluetooth devices fail to connect prior to account login

Status in bluez package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Description: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
  Release: 12.04

  $ apt-cache policy bluetooth

  Installed: 4.98-2ubuntu7
  Candidate: 4.98-2ubuntu7 0
  500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/precise/universe amd64 Packages
  100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

Found in Oneric and ports to Precise- on Mac-mini 2011: Once logged in
with a wired mouse & keyboard, I can use a bluetooth mouse & keyboard
just fine. When the system reboots, Bluetooth works through Refit and
grub. At the login screen, bluetooth connection is dormant. I tried
pairing the devices as root. This helped stabilize the connection,
i.e., once a device was paired it would stay paired through reboots.
Prior to that, I would login with a wired Kb and have to re-pair the
  Bluetooth devices.

Also, turning on auto-login to bypass the login screen and go directly
to account did not work. The Unlock Keyring Login screen showed I
wasn't logged in and the paired devices did not work. However, an
  unpaired device was recognized.
