Same bahaviour here. Ubuntu 14.04 64 bit. Service provider is a RaspberryPi running Raspbian. When I suspend my Ubuntu machine for some time, it will only list local services after resume. Remote services will appear again after reconnecting the network connection (WLAN using NetworkManager). When resuming soon enough, I can not see this problem and remote sevices are still listed.

After restarting avahi-daemon, I can again see remote services too. It should be either automatically restarted by some script, or it should somehow find out alone that a lot of time has passed and it should rediscover the services. The machine was suspended over night, i.e. ~10 hours.
