The colors in the U1 sign-in UI were provided by design, and are the U1
branding (which is different from Ubuntu).
I don't recall who all were involved in the U1 branding discussions, or
if they are all still at Canonical, but we should perhaps have a more
involved discussion if we wish to change anything related to U1
branding. The UI on the phone is meant to match the UI of the web site
as close as possible, and follow the branding and colors for U1. I admit
that maybe some things are perhaps a little outdated and could use a
little upkeep here, but the current colors used here are directives from
design.
