Hello Brian, or anyone else affected, Accepted apport into xenial-proposed. The package will build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apport/2.20.1-0ubuntu2.1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

The Error Tracker buckets package installation failures based off the duplicate signature and without the string 'package:$package' its hard to know if a bucket is about about a package installation failure. Additionally, buckets end up containing a mish-mash of different packages.
